Downtown Visions needs your help. Downtown Visions is the non-profit management company for Wilmington’s Downtown Business Improvement District. Our mission is to create, manage and promote a quality environment for people who live, work and visit Downtown Wilmington.

In 2007, Main Street Wilmington was created to accelerate the transformation of Downtown Wilmington. In 2010, Main Street Wilmington became a program within Downtown Visions. The Main Street program is a proven community-driven, comprehensive methodology used to revitalize older, traditional business districts throughout the United States. The program on a national level is spearheaded by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a leading advocate for the historic preservation movement in the U.S.

The Main Street Wilmington program addresses not only saving historic buildings but also small business recruitment and retention, business marketing and promotion along with the creation of new jobs. The Main Street Wilmington program is accredited by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

• Sixty-one new stores or restaurants opened in Downtown Wilmington in the past three years
• Main Street Wilmington's Facade Improvement Program has generated $404,000 to restore the appearance of buildings

• A combined 389 full & part time Small Business Jobs have been created in Downtown Wilmington
• The 400 block & Lower Market Street (LOMA} is 100% leased with residents
• Jerry’s Artarama will open at 702 N Market Street Spring 2013
